Phoenix Food Technology supplies individually quick frozen (IQF) vegetables from Ju County, Rizhao, in Shandong Province — one of China's densest vegetable growing belts. The range is built for buyers who purchase by specification rather than by photograph: foodservice distributors, ready-meal factories, soup and sauce manufacturers, and retail private-label programmes that need the same cut, the same colour and the same free-flow behaviour in every container.
This page is the entry point to the frozen vegetable range. Each product page below carries its own cut sizes, packing options and loading data, so you can move from category level to a quotable specification in two clicks.
Mixed and blended lines — IQF frozen mixed vegetables, built to a fixed component ratio so the blend looks identical pack after pack.
Single vegetables, diced and cut — IQF diced cauliflower, IQF whole green beans, frozen asparagus sprouts and IQF cut cowpea.
Aromatics and pastes — frozen green onion, IQF diced red onion 5 mm, frozen diced onion, frozen garlic paste and frozen chili peppers.
Pods and specialty items — hairy pod green soybean (edamame) and frozen ginger granules.
Individual quick freezing matters because it decides what happens in your kitchen or on your line. A block-frozen product forces the operator to thaw an entire carton to use a handful; an IQF product pours. We specify free-flow as a quality attribute, not a side effect, and check it after cold storage rather than only at the freezer exit.
Cut size is the second variable buyers argue about. Diced onion at 5 mm and at 10 mm behave differently in a sauce line, and cauliflower florets and cauliflower dice are effectively two products. Where a cut is not already published on the product page, it is produced to your drawing or sieved sample, and the approved sample becomes the reference for every later lot.
Shandong's vegetable calendar runs from spring greens through summer beans and autumn roots, and the factory plans production against that calendar instead of buying spot material when a container is booked. Raw material comes from the surrounding growing area and from contracted growers working the same belt, which keeps transport time from field to freezing line short — the single biggest influence on colour and texture retention.
Off-season orders are supplied from cold storage held at −18 °C or below, with stock rotation by lot. If you need a specific crop year or a specific harvest window on the label, say so at enquiry stage; it is a planning input, not a detail to settle after the contract.
Each lot is checked for cut uniformity, colour, defects, foreign matter and core temperature. Certificate of analysis, packing list, commercial invoice and certificate of origin travel with the shipment, and phytosanitary certification is arranged for destinations that require it. Food-safety documentation for the schemes the plant is audited to is available for your compliance file before you commit to a first order, and certification requirements specific to your market (HALAL, KOSHER, organic) are confirmed at quotation so the specification is not renegotiated later.
Standard export packing is 10 kg food-grade PE-lined cartons. Retail formats — 500 g, 1 kg and 2.5 kg bags — are available for private label, and bulk 20 kg cartons suit industrial users who decant into their own process. Cartons carry lot number and production date, and palletised loading with edge protection is standard for ocean freight. Vacuum packing is offered where freezer burn risk is high on a long route.
The minimum order is 1 metric ton per item and per cut specification. Loading is confirmed against the packing format you choose: a 20-foot container carries around 16 tons and a 40-foot container around 25 tons for standard cartons, with the exact figure recalculated when retail packs or palletised loading change the volumetric limit. Terms are FOB Qingdao, with payment before shipment unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing. Lead time is normally within three weeks of a signed contract.
We pack under your brand: printed cartons, retail bag artwork, barcode and lot coding, and mixed-item outer cases for distributors carrying a range. Artwork is proofed and approved before the first production run and kept on file so repeat orders match without re-checking. Samples are supplied before a bulk commitment — tell us the cut size, the packing format and the tests your laboratory will run, and the sample is drawn from production stock rather than prepared by hand.

Two specifications cause most of the disputes in this category. The first is glaze: a declared net weight that includes ice glaze delivers less vegetable than the buyer budgeted for, so agree whether weight is declared net of glaze. The second is colour consistency across deliveries made in different seasons, which is a raw-material planning question rather than a freezing question — a supplier who buys spot material cannot hold it. Both are settled in writing before the first container, and both are checked on the retained sample.
Frozen vegetables are usually bought alongside other lines from the same origin. Our fresh vegetables and fruit range covers the same growing region for buyers running both chilled and frozen programmes, and our dehydrated ginger range serves seasoning and blending applications.
IQF vegetables are frozen as separate pieces and stay free-flowing, so a kitchen can portion what it needs. Block frozen product is frozen in a mass and must be thawed as a whole unit. IQF costs more per ton and is the correct choice wherever portion control matters.
Yes. Send the sieve size, a drawing or a physical sample. The approved sample is retained and becomes the reference for every subsequent lot, which is what prevents a 5 mm dice from arriving as a 7 mm dice on the third order.
Declare it explicitly at enquiry. We quote either net weight excluding glaze or gross weight including glaze, and the packing list follows whichever basis is agreed so the customs declaration and your costing stay aligned.
The minimum is 1 metric ton per item and cut. A 20-foot container takes roughly 16 tons and a 40-foot container roughly 25 tons in standard 10 kg cartons, recalculated if you choose retail packs or pallets.
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, certificate of analysis and, where the destination requires it, a phytosanitary certificate. Plant audit documentation and market-specific certification such as HALAL are confirmed at quotation stage.
