yellow onion/red onion/purple onion
Shangdong China

Fresh onions are a volume business with a quality problem at the end of it: the price is set by the market, but the profit is decided by how much of the container arrives in saleable condition. Onion skins crack, necks rot, and a load that looked right at loading can be soft on arrival if the curing and cold chain were rushed.
We supply yellow, red and purple onions from Shandong, graded and cured before packing, and held in cold storage so that shipment can be scheduled against your sales calendar rather than forced out at harvest.
Onions are lifted, cured to dry the neck and skin, graded by diameter to the range on your order, and packed. Curing is the step that decides shelf life: an onion packed before the neck is properly dry will rot in the middle of the pallet, and the loss surfaces two weeks after arrival, when it is your customer who finds it.
Grading covers diameter, skin condition, firmness and freedom from defects. Yellow onions dominate volume demand; red and purple are bought for colour on the shelf and in foodservice, and are judged more strictly on skin appearance.
Wholesale and distribution — bulk mesh bags for market and repacker supply.
Foodservice — consistent sizing for kitchens that portion by count.
Retail packing — graded material for prepacked retail programmes.
Processing — raw material for peeling, dicing and freezing lines.
Buyers running a processing line often pair fresh onions with our frozen lines: IQF diced red onion 5 mm and frozen mixed vegetables cover the same specification in a shelf-stable form.
Standard export packing is 10 kg and 20 kg mesh bags, with carton and retail prepack formats available on request. Palletised loading and ventilated container options are quoted with the order.
The minimum order is 1 metric ton, which lets a buyer check grading and condition before committing to a container. Container loading is confirmed against the packing format at order stage — mesh bags load differently from cartons, and onions need airflow in transit.
We pack under your brand: printed mesh bags, retail prepacks with your label, barcode and lot coding, and mixed-size programmes for distributors. Artwork is proofed and approved before the first packing run and kept on file so repeat orders match.
Samples can be arranged ahead of a bulk commitment, subject to season and the grade you need. Each shipment carries commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and phytosanitary certificate, plus food-safety documentation for the schemes our facilities are covered by: ISO, BRC, HACCP, KOSHER, HALAL, NOP, EOS and AIB. Where your market requires a named certificate for clearance, state it at quotation stage.
Growing, curing, grading and cold storage take place in Ju County, Rizhao, Shandong, on our own farmland and with contracted growers in the same agricultural belt. Fresh onions are seasonal, so the shipping window is planned against the crop rather than promised year-round at a fixed price. Loading is from Qingdao, normally within three weeks of a signed contract, with a seven-day option when a buyer's window closes unexpectedly.
