Cauliflower
Shandong
20251123
IQF diced cauliflower is bought for one reason: labour. A kitchen that breaks down fresh cauliflower pays for trimming, coring and cutting, and throws away a percentage of every head. Frozen dice arrives already cut to size, free-flowing, and portioned by weight — the trim loss stays at our end of the chain, not yours.
The technical difficulty is that cauliflower is mostly water. Cut it, freeze it badly, and the dice collapse on thawing into a soft, watery mass. The difference between a good lot and a bad one is cut definition after defrosting: the dice should still read as dice, with a clean edge rather than a frayed one.
Heads are trimmed, cored and cut to the agreed size — 10 mm dice as standard, with 20 mm and 30 mm cuts for catering and soup lines. Product is blanched where the end use needs it, then individually quick frozen so that dice remain separate in the bag rather than freezing into a block.
Grading is on appearance and behaviour: even colour, no browning at the cut edge, no florets left intact where dice were ordered, and no clumping in the finished carton. A carton that arrives as a solid block indicates temperature cycling somewhere in the chain, and we would rather you reject that lot than work around it.
Foodservice and central kitchens — predictable dice for vegetable mixes, gratins and side dishes without prep labour.
Ready meals and soups — consistent particle size that holds shape through retort or cook-chill.
Retail private label — your pack size and artwork for frozen vegetable ranges.
Distributors — a repeatable cut specification that can be re-sold under your own label.
Cauliflower dice is usually bought alongside other IQF items. Our frozen mixed vegetables and IQF green beans run on the same freezing and export schedule, so a multi-item order shares one set of documents and one loading plan.
Standard export packing is 10 kg cartons, with 1 kg and 2.5 kg retail bags available for private label. Palletised loading and mixed-carton programmes are quoted with the order.
The minimum order is 1 metric ton per cut size. Container loading is confirmed against the packing format at order stage; cauliflower is bulky for its weight, so the loaded tonnage varies more between carton and retail-bag formats than it does for denser vegetables.
We pack under your brand: printed cartons, retail bag design, barcode and lot coding, and mixed-item outer cases. Artwork is proofed and approved before the first production run and kept on file so repeat orders match.
Samples are supplied before a bulk commitment — tell us the cut size and the tests your lab will run. Each shipment carries commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and phytosanitary certificate, plus conformity documentation for the schemes our plants are audited to: ISO, BRC, HACCP, KOSHER, HALAL, NOP, EOS and AIB.
Processing and cold storage sit on the same site in Ju County, Rizhao, Shandong, with blast freezing before dispatch. Because the raw material comes from our own farmland and contracted growers in the same belt, the harvest window is planned rather than bought at the last minute. Normal lead time is within three weeks of a signed contract, with a seven-day option for urgent windows.
